Ony Ghonda Mangalibi is a business and public-service professional whose career has developed across the United States, China and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. His experience spans residential real estate, property development, project management, international trade, nonprofit leadership and public administration.
His early professional formation took place in Maryland. Beginning with property investment, he moved into residential real estate and development management, working as a licensed real estate salesperson with Long & Foster Real Estate from 2014 to 2017 and as Project Manager with Mulsanne Management, LLC from 2014 to 2016. Those roles involved client representation, contract negotiation, permitting, contractor coordination, construction scheduling, budget oversight, cost forecasting and project execution.
In 2014, Mangalibi completed an internship with Zendai Group in Shanghai, China. The experience provided exposure to investment, asset acquisition, residential and commercial real estate development, and the group’s cultural institutions. It added an international dimension to a career that was already taking shape around property, investment and project execution.
In 2015, he became Managing Member of Kisantu Foods, LLC. His responsibilities have included sourcing, supplier relations, logistics, inventory management, transportation costs, production coordination, quality control and customer relationships, including production oversight involving Vietnam. The role expanded his experience from domestic real estate and development into international trade and supply-chain operations.
Since 2017, Mangalibi has held two parallel vice-presidential leadership roles in the Democratic Republic of the Congo: Vice President of the Fondation Antoine Ghonda and Vice President of the Association Agro-Culturelle et Sportive pour la Promotion de la Jeunesse, A.A.C.P.J. ASBL. These responsibilities have involved institutional development, organizational planning, partnerships, communications and initiatives connected to youth, agriculture, culture, sport and community development.
His public record also includes documented participation in Congolese electoral processes. The CENI definitive list for the 2023 national legislative elections recorded him as second suppléant on a candidacy in Madimba, Kongo Central. In the 2024 Kongo Central senatorial process, the CENI definitive list recorded him as first suppléant on an independent candidacy.
Since 2025, he has served as Chargé d’Études within the Cabinet of the Minister Delegate to the Minister of National Defence in charge of Veterans Affairs in Kinshasa. The Ministry’s official Cabinet directory lists Ony Mangalibi among its Chargés d’études. His work includes technical and strategic analysis, preparation of notes and synthesis documents, support to Cabinet programs and projects, and research used in the treatment of institutional dossiers.
Across these roles, his professional profile connects private-sector execution with institutional leadership and public administration. Onyghonda.com serves as the central digital archive for that professional record, including future speeches, interviews, project documentation, approved photographs and press materials.
